Offering more than 200,000 volumes along with 300 print and over 70,000 electronic periodical subscriptions, the Lipscomb Library provides the intellectual and creative resources that support the liberal arts and sciences curriculum.
You’ll have worldwide access to information through our online network. Lynchburg Information Online Network (LION) provides automated access to the Lipscomb Library collection as well as access to materials from Sweet Briar College and the Lynchburg Public Library. Interlibrary loan is provided without charge, and fines are not collected for overdue books.
In addition, Lipscomb offers special collections like the Pearl S. Buck Collection, the Lininger Children’s Book Collection, the Watts Rare Book Room, and the Charlotte Cushman Collection, as well as audiovisual rooms, and a videocassette and DVD collection.
